Nigerian Students Engage in Nation-Building Forum in Abuja

Presspayng organized a forum in Abuja that brought together 200 Nigerian students from across the country's six geopolitical zones to foster active participation in nation-building. The event, supported by UNESCO, aimed to reshape the narrative around Nigeria's challenges and encourage youth involvement in national discourse.

Abiola Metilelu, the founder and CEO of Presspayng, emphasized the importance of youth as active architects of peace. The forum included a keynote address by Petra Akinti Onyegbul, a former chief press secretary and governor of Kogi State.

This initiative was the culmination of a three-month engagement model that began with a structured virtual boot camp involving 50 students from various campuses nationwide. The forum also featured leadership and peace-building sessions co-facilitated by Kehind Chariti Awujoola, a senior special assistant on gender matters in the Ministry of Youth Development.
