First Lady, Remi Tinubu Gets Chieftaincy Title

Remi Tinubu, the First Lady, was recently honored with a chieftaincy title by the traditional ruler of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Shotobi, as part of the activities marking his 10th coronation anniversary. The event, which took place in Ikorodu on Saturday, was attended by Mrs. Tinubu who represented the wife of the Lagos State deputy governor, Oluremi Hamzat.

During her speech, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized that Nigerians remain her top priority, echoing the sentiments of the Federal Government. She expressed her appreciation for the cultural significance of the honor bestowed upon her by the Ikorodu kingdom.

Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau of the APC Kano North praised Oba Shotobi for his impactful leadership, which has brought many Ikorodu indigenes to national prominence. He commended Shotobi for his inclusive leadership, noting that under his reign, Ikorodu has transformed from a rural community.
