Oluremi Tinubu Urges Accountability in Legislation

During the inauguration of the National Assembly Christian Chapel in Abuja, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu called on members of the National Assembly to legislate for the people while being ultimately accountable to God. She highlighted that the chapel serves as a testament to the assembly's commitment to the people and the necessity of seeking divine guidance.

The First Lady dedicated the chapel, emphasizing the need for humility and courageous decision-making to ensure Nigeria's continued prosperity. Former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon urged legislators to act in the best interest of the country, explaining that laws should be based on the principles of love for God and neighbor.

He described the chapel as a place for true repentance and unity. Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Speaker Yakubu Dogara also spoke, reinforcing the importance of quality leadership and the role of prayer in governance, with a focus on establishing a righteous foundation for the nation.
