Five Nigerian Companies Schedule Q2 2026 Results Approvals This Month
Fortis Global Insurance, May & Baker, Neimeth Pharma, First HoldCo, and Meyer Plc have all notified the NGX of board meetings to approve second-quarter…
Between July 20 and July 28, 2026, five publicly traded Nigerian firms will convene board sessions to formally sign off on their unaudited financial statements covering the period that ended on June 30, 2026. These announcements have been made through individual filings submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), marking what promises to be an eventful reporting cycle as the bourse receives mid-year results from multiple issuers.
July 20 will see First HoldCo Plc move first. Fortis Global Insurance Plc's turn comes on July 23, followed by Neimeth International Pharmaceuticals Plc on July 24.
Meyer Plc has set its meeting for July 27, while May & Baker Nigeria Plc will complete the sequence on July 28. At each of these sessions, directors will focus on reviewing and formally endorsing the company's unaudited statements for the half-year period.
Complying with NGX trading rules, all five firms have put closed periods into effect that bar their insiders from transacting in shares. Beginning on July 1, 2026, these restrictions will continue through 24 hours following the moment each company's financial statements receive formal approval and are delivered to the exchange.
Such measures are intended to protect against information asymmetry during the critical pre-announcement phase. First HoldCo modified its originally planned timetable by distributing a fresh notice on July 17, moving its approval meeting to July 20 from what had been its earlier announced date.
All remaining procedural elements, the firm assured stakeholders, would stay as stated. The spread of these board sessions throughout late July exemplifies the synchronized disclosure rhythm characteristic of Nigeria's mid-year financial reporting season, when public corporations discharge their interim accounting duties to the market.
