FMIST and NIPSS Strengthen Partnership for Innovation

The Federal Ministry of Science and Technology (FMIST), led by Minister Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS).

This commitment was expressed during a courtesy visit by NIPSS Director General Prof. Ayo Omotayo to the FMIST office in Abuja.

Dr. Udeh emphasized the importance of evidence-based policymaking and the need for collaboration to develop innovative technology-driven solutions that will enhance Nigeria's industrial growth and economic diversification.

He highlighted the necessity of a sustainable partnership to drive technological advancement and innovation, which are critical for transforming the nation's economy. Dr.

Mukhtar Yawal Muhammad, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, described the visit as significant, considering NIPSS's pivotal role in providing intellectual leadership for national policy formulation. Both parties agreed to strengthen their collaboration through joint initiatives that will support policy development and innovative research capacities in Nigeria.
