Nollywood Actress Tope Osoba Laid to Rest in Ogun State

Nollywood actress Tope Osoba was laid to rest in Ogun State after a funeral service held on August 13, 2026. Her remains were transported from the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu, to Akesan Club in Iperu Remo, where family, friends, and colleagues gathered to pay their respects.

The burial service concluded with her interment at the Iperu Remo Cemetery, attended by mourners predominantly dressed in white. Notable attendees included Nollywood actors Foluke Daramola, Kunle Afod, Joke Jigan, and Basira Badia.

Osoba's death was announced on August 5, 2026, following her breast cancer surgery in November 2024. Initially, her burial was scheduled for August 13, 2026, after a candlelight procession and tribute night on August 11, but was postponed for further arrangements.

Allegations surfaced online linking her death to emotional distress and accusations against her fiancé, Itunu Onadeko, regarding mistreatment during her illness. The Celestial Church of Christ, where Onadeko serves as a shepherd, has initiated an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding Osoba's death.
