APGA Condemns Imo APC for Allegedly Coercing Civil Servants to Register as Party Members

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State has condemned the Imo All Progressives Congress (APC) government, led by Governor Hope Uzodinma, for allegedly coercing civil servants to register as party members. APGA's state chairman, John Iwuala, stated that this forceful registration is undemocratic, infringes on citizens' rights, and undermines the principles of democracy.

Iwuala emphasized that citizens should have the freedom to choose their political affiliations without intimidation. The statement warned against the government's actions and urged Imo workers to adhere to civil service rules that prohibit engaging in partisan politics.

APGA emphasized its commitment to defending the interests of the Igbo people and criticized the APC government for its alleged disregard for human rights and democratic values. The party called on Imo citizens to support a non-partisan civil service and resist any attempts to compel them to join a specific political party.
