APGA Condemns Imo APC for Allegedly Coercing Civil Servants to Register as Party Members

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State has condemned the Progress Congress-led government, led by Governor Hope Uzodinma, for allegedly coercing civil servants to register as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). APGA's state chairman, John Iwuala, stated that the forceful registration violates citizens' rights and undermines democracy.

He emphasized that citizens should have the freedom to choose their political affiliations without intimidation. The party urged Governor Uzodinma to respect civil service rules that prohibit involvement in partisan politics.

APGA warned that such actions could lead to gross violations of human rights and called on Imo citizens to resist any form of intimidation. The statement also highlighted the importance of upholding democratic principles and the right to choose political affiliations freely.
