Peter Obi Vows to Overcome Obstacles for 2027 Election

Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State and a presidential candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), declared that forces attempting to obstruct his 2027 presidential ambition will not succeed. He made this statement while serving as a guest speaker at a leadership program hosted by the NextGen Mentorship Leadership Initiative on Friday at Madonna University in Okija, Anambra State.

Obi addressed challenges posed by other presidential aspirants, including current President Bola Tinubu, and reacted to a recent judgment by the Federal High Court in Lokoja, Kogi State, which set aside an earlier ruling directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the NDC. He urged Nigerians to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate in the elections, emphasizing that he is not deterred by obstacles and is focused on his destiny.

Obi criticized the lack of committed leadership in Nigeria and expressed confidence that the people will prevail against those trying to undermine democracy.
