Anti-North Campaign Against Obi Will Fail, Says Nwangwu

Nnamdi Nwangwu, a former public secretary of the Anambra State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), stated that the current anti-North narrative against presidential candidate Peter Obi of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) is a campaign of calumny. He described the narrative as falsehood and emphasized that it will not succeed.

Nwangwu noted that the campaign against Obi is being propagated by elements that do not favor his acceptance across the country. He highlighted Obi's efforts to maintain cordial relationships with the northern Muslim community during his tenure as governor of Anambra State, where he regularly engaged with non-indigenes, including the Hausa and Yoruba communities.

Nwangwu recalled that Obi's administration provided welfare packages to destitute individuals across the state, benefiting many, including northern residents. He asserted that Obi's clean record and the falsehoods being spread against him will ultimately be discovered by the public.
