Court Rules in Favor of Amobi Ogah Over Onyejeocha

In a significant legal ruling, Amobi Ogah emerged victorious against Nkeiruka Onyejeocha in a case concerning allegations of forgery related to the 2023 National Assembly elections for the Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency in Abia State. The Abuja Federal High Court, presided over by Hon.

Justice M.G. Umar, dismissed Onyejeocha's application to join the suit numbered FHC/ABJ/CV/1308/2025, which sought a mandamus order against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The court concluded that the allegations of forgery were unfounded, allowing the electoral tribunal proceedings to continue in favor of Ogah. Following the ruling, Ogah's counsel, Umeh Kalu, SAN, expressed satisfaction with the court's judgment, while Onyejeocha's legal representative, John Agim, SAN, indicated plans to review the ruling and determine the next steps.
