Former ADC National Woman Leader Defects to APC, Cites Desire for Grassroots Contribution

Kayauta Yakubu, the former national woman leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and was formally received at the APC national secretariat in Abuja. She was welcomed by APC's nation woman leader, Dr.

Mari Alil Idel, and other political associates. Yakubu expressed her delight at returning to the APC, citing the party's open stance for Nigerians to contribute to national development.

She commended APC's leadership and policies, particularly praising Bola Ahmed Tinubu's initiatives like the Nigerian Education Loan Fund. Yakubu emphasized that her decision to leave ADC was personal and motivated by a desire to contribute meaningfully to the country's progress.

The APC officials, including Adamu Danladi Ibrahim, welcomed Yakubu back, expressing confidence in her grassroots mobilization capacity. Yakubu's return is expected to strengthen the APC ahead of the upcoming area council elections in Kuje.
