Buratai's Son Secures APC Nomination for Borno Assembly

Muhammad Tukur Buratai, the son of Lt. Gen.

Tukur Buratai (rtd), who is the former Chief of Army Staff of Nigeria, has officially entered partisan politics by purchasing a nomination form from the All Progressives Congress (APC). He aims to contest for a seat in the Borno State House of Assembly, specifically representing the Biu Constituency, in the forthcoming 2027 elections.

This move marks his formal entry into the political arena. Prior to this, he met with his father to seek his blessings for the political contest.
