Aisha Ahman Pategi Declares for Kwara Governorship Race

Aisha Ahman Pategi has formally declared her intention to contest for the Kwara governorship seat in the upcoming 2027 elections, making her the first female candidate from the Kwara North Zone. Her declaration took place at the All Progressives Congress (APC) state secretariat in Ilorin, where she emphasized her commitment to addressing the needs of the people and rising above fear.

Pategi, who has a background in local government and chieftaincy affairs, expressed her dedication to job creation, economic empowerment, and leveraging youth innovation in agriculture and industry. Her campaign mantra, "New Dawn, New Hope, New Kwara," reflects her vision for inclusive governance.

She received support from notable figures, including former Speaker Ezekiel Benjamin and Jerri Kolo, who highlighted her potential to impact the lives of the downtrodden. Pategi has submitted her letter of intent to contest for the governorship under the APC, with assurances from the party's chairman, Princ Sundai Fagbemi, regarding a level playing ground for all candidates.
