Muheebat Dankaka Declares for Kwara South Senate Seat

Muheebat Dankaka, a female aspirant from the All Progressives Congress (APC), announced her intention to contest for the Kwara South senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections on Saturday in Offa, Kwara State. Dankaka, who previously contested for the same seat in 2015 and 2019, described her renewed bid as a significant moment for women's participation in leadership.

She attributed her earlier electoral setbacks to issues surrounding her marital name, which complicated her candidacy despite being an indigene of Kwara State. Dankaka highlighted her professional experience, including six years as a banker and her role as the executive chairman of the Federal Character Commission, and expressed confidence in her ability to deliver effective representation.

She pledged to prioritize inclusive, people-oriented policies and reiterated her support for President Bola Tinubu's second term. Additionally, she commended Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his leadership and urged party members in her constituency to support her candidacy.
