Kwara APC Chieftain Bolarinwa Declares Governorship Bid

Bashir Bolarinwa, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), formally declared his intention to run for the governorship of Kwara State during an event on Tuesday, which attracted thousands of supporters. His announcement comes in response to growing concerns over insecurity in the state, highlighted by recent incidents of killings and kidnappings.

Bolarinwa pledged to prioritize security and human capital development, stating that addressing these issues would be central to his administration. He emphasized the need for significant investment in education, healthcare, and skills acquisition to empower youth and women, which he described as essential for sustainable growth.

Bolarinwa's political career includes various roles, such as councillor, local government chairman, and member of the National Assembly, equipping him for leadership. He promised an inclusive administration that ensures equitable development across the state.

Additionally, he commended President Bola Tinubu for his efforts at the national level and called for collective support from party stakeholders and residents.
