Musa Wins ADC Governorship Ticket in Zamfara Elections

Musa, the former deputy governor, emerged as the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara for the 2027 elections. He won the party's primary election held in Gusau, receiving 35,665 votes.

His closest competitor garnered 15,922 votes, while another aspirant received 7,642 votes. Musa characterized the primary election as peaceful, free, and transparent, indicating a successful conduct of the electoral process.

The ADC also announced candidates for the senatorial elections in Zamfara, with Musa emerging as the candidate for Zamfara North. The party produced candidates for six federal constituencies, including Zurmi/Shinkafi and Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji.

However, no candidates emerged for Maru/Bungudu and Anka/Mafara constituencies, as there were no aspirants participating in the primaries. Musa urged party members to remain united as they prepare for the upcoming elections in 2027.
