Former Lawmaker Danjuma Usman Shiddi Resigns from ADC

Danjuma Usman Shiddi, who previously served as a Federal Lawmaker for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency, officially resigned from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on March 18, 2026. In his resignation letter, Shiddi expressed concerns regarding the current political climate and its potential adverse effects on his career and the welfare of his constituents in Taraba State.

He indicated that the ADC no longer aligned with his political goals and strategies. Despite his departure, Shiddi acknowledged the strong relationships he developed within the party and expressed gratitude for the support he received during his membership.

He requested the removal of his name from the ADC's membership records and sent copies of his resignation to the Wukari Council Chairman, the State Chairman of the ADC, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Taraba State.
