Ubale Resigns from NNPP, Signals Political Shift

Ubale, a former federal lawmaker representing Jigawa State, has officially resigned from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). In his resignation letter, dated Sunday, he emphasized the necessity for a strategic shift in response to the evolving political landscape of Nigeria.

Ubale served in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2015, initially as a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) before joining the NNPP. He has held various positions at local government, state, and national levels, particularly in the Taura Local Government Area.

Although he did not disclose his next political move, indications suggest he may align with the African Democratic Congress (ADC). His resignation comes shortly after reports of NNPP's national leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso potentially defecting to the ADC, signaling a significant shift within the opposition bloc ahead of future elections.
