Senator Nakudu Resigns from APC, Plans to Join ADC

Senator Sabo Moham Nakudu, a former governorship aspirant in Jigawa State, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) as of April 3, 2026. In a formal letter submitted to APC leaders in the Sundimina Ward of Birnin Kudu Local Government Area, Nakudu stated that his decision followed deep reflection and appreciation for the platform the APC provided for his political growth. He thanked the party stakeholders for their loyal support throughout his time with the APC. Nakudu had previously aspired to contest for the APC governorship ticket in the 2023 general elections in Jigawa State but did not secure the ticket. Despite his resignation, he remained active within the party's structure until this recent decision. His political career has spanned various parties, having been elected to the House of Representatives under the People's Democratic Party (PDP) from 2007 to 2015 before defecting to the APC, where he served as a senator representing Jigawa South West from 2015 to 2019. It is reported that Nakudu may join the African Democratic Congress (ADC), with arrangements already in place for a formal declaration.
