Former Man United Striker Odion Ighalo Reflects on £1M Orphanage in Nigeria

Former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo reflects on establishing a £1M orphanage in Lagos, Nigeria, eight years ago. The orphanage, founded in December 2015 in the suburb of Ijegun, provides housing for 30-40 children and emphasizes academic studies and sports training.

Ighalo, who grew up in Ajegunle, invested around N500 million in building the facility. The ex-Watford and Inter Milan forward aims to support the children until they reach 18 years old.

He also plans charity matches and spends quality time with the children.
