Jasper Uch Defects to Labour Party in Abia State

Jasper Uch, who previously served as the deputy governorship candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State, has officially defected to the Labour Party (LP). This decision was announced during a visit to Governor Alex Otti, where Uch expressed his intent to support Otti's administration and contribute to his re-election efforts in 2027.

Uch, the founder of the Umunneochi organization, stated that his move to the LP aims to enhance the political landscape in Umunneochi and increase voter turnout for Otti in the upcoming elections. Governor Otti welcomed Uch's defection, assuring him of full integration into the party and emphasizing that the mission to complete their goals would not be distracted.

Uch had previously informed the governor of his decision to leave the PDP and join the LP, aiming to mobilize support for Otti ahead of the next elections.
