Former PDP National Women Leader Joins APC in Kebbi State, Receives Governor's Support

Hajiya Maria Waziri, the former National Women Leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria. She made her decision public in Birnin Kebbi, where she was welcomed by a group of supporters and the state governor, Nasir Idri.

Governor Idri praised Waziri's move, emphasizing that the APC remains open to politicians from all backgrounds. The APC chairman in Kebbi State, Abubakar Kana Zuru, also welcomed Waziri's decision and assured her of equal rights and opportunities within the party.

Waziri cited the performance of the APC-led government in Kebbi State and at the national level as influencing her decision to switch parties after 20 years in opposition. Her defection is viewed as a significant development in the political landscape of Kebbi State.
