Yusuf Buhari, the son of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has officially declared his intention to contest for a seat in the House of Representatives representing the Sandamu, Daura, and Mai Adua Federal Constituency in Katsina State. He will be running under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This announcement has garnered attention across political circles in Katsina, a region traditionally supportive of the APC. Yusuf's decision marks his entry into active politics for the first time.

According to a statement shared by Bashir Ahmad, the declaration followed consultations with key stakeholders, including party leaders and influential figures in the constituency. These consultations reportedly took place quietly over a period of time and involved meetings across three local government areas to gauge support.
