APC Primaries: Buhari's Son and Obasa Secure Tickets

The All Progressives Congress (APC) conducted its House of Representatives primaries on Saturday across 360 federal constituencies, resulting in the disqualification of 14 aspirants due to failure to meet screening criteria. Notable disqualified candidates included Iduma Igariwei from Ebonyi State and Boma Goodhead from Rivers State.

In contrast, Yusuf Buhari won the APC primary for the Sandamu/Daura/Mai'Adua federal constituency in Katsina State with 5,849 votes, defeating his closest rival by 21 votes, reflecting the enduring influence of the Buhari family in the area. Mudashiru Obasa won the APC primary for the Agege federal constituency in Lagos State unopposed.

Tajudeen Abba emerged unopposed for the Zaria federal constituency in Kaduna State, while Benjamin Kalu secured his ticket for the Abia State constituency. Ndudi Elumelu defeated incumbent Ngozi Okoli in the Oshimili South federal constituency primary in Delta State.

The primaries were characterized by a peaceful and orderly process.
