Yusuf Buhari Declares House of Reps Bid for 2027 Elections

Yusuf Buhari, the son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, officially declared his intention to run for a seat in the House of Representatives for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai Adua Federal Constituency during the 2027 general elections. This announcement was made on Thursday in Daura, Katsina State, shortly after a meeting with Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda.

The purpose of the meeting was to seek political backing and consult with party leaders for support. Yusuf made a direct appeal for support, assuring attendees that he would effectively represent them if elected.

The event saw the presence of several notable figures, including former lawmakers and community leaders, who were encouraged to rally behind Yusuf's bid. Alhaji Musa Haro, the district head of Daura, emphasized the need for unity among stakeholders and revealed plans for engaging voters across the constituency.
