Veteran Journalist Oloye Lekan Alabi Dies at 76

Oloye Lekan Alabi, a veteran journalist and former press secretary to multiple governors of Oyo State, has passed away at the age of 76. His death was confirmed in a statement issued by Adeola Oloko, who serves as the media aide to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.

The announcement stated that Alabi died in Lagos on Saturday morning. In accordance with Islamic rites, he is scheduled to be buried the following day, Sunday.

Alabi's contributions to journalism and his role in the political landscape of Oyo State are recognized through his long-standing service as a press secretary to various governors.
