Forum Urges Tinubu to Restore Seriki's Candidacy in Kwara

The Kwara Young Progress Forum has issued a statement urging President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reconsider their decision to withdraw support for Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki's governorship candidacy in Kwara State for the upcoming 2027 elections. Convened by Dr.

Adam Abdulwahab Opeyemi, the forum warned that the APC risks losing Kwara State if it does not review this decision. They described Seriki as a loyal and committed party member whose contributions to the growth of the APC in Kwara should not be overlooked.

The forum expressed concerns about the perceived unfair treatment of Seriki, a businessman and philanthropist, noting that such actions could undermine confidence among party members and strengthen opposition forces. They emphasized that Seriki remains the APC's strongest electoral asset in Kwara, citing his grassroots appeal and record in job creation and empowerment programs.

The forum called for swift action from party leaders to restore Seriki's candidacy to strengthen the APC's chances in the 2027 governorship elections.
