NSDF Supports FG's Ex-Terrorist Reintegration Efforts

The Nigeria Security Development Forum (NSDF) publicly endorsed the Federal Government's efforts to reintegrate ex-terrorists through the Safe Corridor program during a press conference held on Tuesday in Abuja. The forum highlighted the significance of this initiative as a pivotal moment for Nigeria to consolidate military gains and foster peacebuilding efforts.

Victor Success, the secretary of the group, commended the leadership of Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Olufemi Oluyede for his commitment to strengthening both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies in addressing insurgency.

The forum applauded the recent graduation of rehabilitated participants from the Safe Corridor program, describing it as a major milestone in Nigeria's peacebuilding efforts. They noted that sustainable military operations have significantly degraded the operational capacity of terrorist groups, but emphasized that durable peace cannot be achieved through force alone.

The NSDF called for continued monitoring and community engagement to strengthen public confidence in the rehabilitation program.
