Akin Fadeyi Foundation Launches Road Safety Advocacy Drama

The Akin Fadeyi Foundation has launched an advocacy drama project designed to address the major causes of road accidents across Nigeria. This initiative includes three documentary dramas that aim to guide motorists and road users on avoiding accidents.

The advocacy dramas serve as a clarion call to interrupt dangerous habits that have become normalized among Nigerian drivers. Akin Fadeyi, the Executive Director and Founder of the foundation, identified various reasons for road accidents in Nigeria, attributing them to individual behavior.

The campaign aims to change citizen behavior through a series of dramas that include themes against drunk driving, improper parking, and driving against traffic flow. The foundation calls on individuals and government agencies, including the Federal Ministry of Information, to amplify the campaign across national platforms such as NTA, AIT, and Arise TV.

According to FRSC data, Nigeria recorded 10,446 crashes and 5,289 deaths in 2025, highlighting the urgent need for safety awareness campaigns.
