Ajok Afolabi Foundation Trains 90 Lagos Students in AI

The Ajok Afolabi Foundation, in partnership with the World Bank, has successfully trained over 90 students from various senior secondary schools in Lagos State in artificial intelligence and digital skills. This initiative is part of the foundation's ongoing "Connect Campaign," designed to equip students with practical technological skills that will enhance their academic performance and improve their employability.

Foluk Ademokun, a coordinator from the foundation, noted that this training is part of a broader effort to bridge the skill gap among Nigeria's youth and address unemployment. The program has also positively impacted the wider community, with beneficiaries expected to apply their new skills to improve their lives and contribute meaningfully to economic development.

Schools involved include Mai Almighti, Zion Grammar School, Osolu Senior Secondary School, and others, bringing the total number of students impacted by similar programs to nearly 600. Vice Principal Sherifat Ajala commended the foundation for its quality facilitation and support.
