Four Arrested in Imo State Police Forest Raids

The Imo State Police Command arrested four male suspects during a security operation conducted across the forests of Ohaji Egbema Local Government Area. The operation, which took place on June 10, 2026, was led by CSP Mathia Abah and involved collaboration with local vigilantes.

Henri Okoy, the spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, stated that the operation was part of ongoing proactive measures mandated by CP Audu Bosso to enhance safety and tackle criminal activities in the area. The operation included a thorough combing of the forest areas around Assa and Ohuba, particularly near the Adapalm Plantation.

This latest operation follows a previous large-scale forest clearance exercise on May 25, 2026, in Owerri West Local Government Area, where 24 suspects were arrested. The increased security efforts come in response to rising concerns over kidnappings and attacks allegedly perpetrated by armed criminals in the region.
