Anambra Lawmakers Defect from Labour Party to ADC in Political Realignment

Four members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, including the LP caucus leader Hon. Jude Ifeanyi Umenajiego, Hon.

Fred Ezenwa, Hon. Kingsley Udemezu, and Hon.

Henri Nigeria Mbachu, have left the Labour Party to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC) following the defection of former LP member, Okoli Akirika. The move is seen as a show of loyalty to the leadership of the ADC and a strategic political shift in the South East region.

The defection is part of a broader exodus following the decision of LP members to align with the ADC after former LP state secretary, Theo Egb, and other high-profile party members joined the movement. The defectors have been urged to engage with ADC ward leadership and integrate into the party structure.
