Raphael Onyedika Joins Eintracht Frankfurt on Five-Year Deal

Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika has completed a transfer to German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, signing a five-year contract that will keep him at Deutsche Bank Park until June 2031. He joins Frankfurt after a successful stint at Belgian champions Club Brugge, where he established himself as a top defensive midfielder.

Onyedika, 25, is the sixth Nigerian to represent Frankfurt, following in the footsteps of legendary Super Eagles captain Austin Okocha. He has been assigned the No. 25 jersey and aims to contribute to the club's midfield.

His move is seen as a reward for his outstanding performances in Belgium, where he helped Brugge secure two Belgian Pro League titles, a Belgian Cup, and a Belgian Super Cup. Onyedika has made 268 senior appearances and played in 24 UEFA Champions League matches, enhancing his reputation across Europe.

He is also a key member of the Super Eagles, with 26 senior caps and participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
