Onyedika Approaches Transfer to Eintracht Frankfurt

Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika is close to completing a transfer to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt from Belgian champions Club Brugge. Negotiations between the two clubs have reportedly reached an advanced stage, with German publication Kicker indicating that a final agreement could be reached early next week.

Frankfurt is prepared to pay €9 million to secure Onyedika's services, as he has become one of their priority transfer targets ahead of the new season. The 25-year-old has been monitored by Frankfurt for several seasons, with previous unsuccessful attempts to sign him.

His impressive performances in the UEFA Champions League last season significantly boosted his reputation, including a memorable goal against Frankfurt. During his time at Club Brugge, Onyedika has won two Belgian Pro League titles, one Belgian Cup, and one Belgian Super Cup.

Although Al-Ittihad from the Saudi Pro League showed interest, Frankfurt is now in a strong position to finalize the transfer.
