NILDS Issues Warning Against Fraudulent Impersonation

The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS) has issued a public disclaimer regarding fraudulent activities where individuals are impersonating its Director General, Gener Abubakar Sulaiman. The institute raised an alarm about a disturbing wave of impersonation targeting its director, warning the public that these fraudsters operate using unauthorized phone numbers and digital platforms.

The disclaimer, released on Monday, emphasized that these unscrupulous individuals contact unsuspecting citizens under false pretenses, claiming to represent the institute. Gener Sulaiman categorically stated that NILDS does not solicit funds or political support through unofficial channels.

The institute urged the public to disregard any suspicious messages purportedly from the Director General and to report such incidents to relevant security agencies for appropriate action.
