Oyo Pupils and Teachers Rescued from Kidnappers

The Nigerian Presidency has confirmed the successful rescue of pupils and teachers who were kidnapped by armed gunmen in the Ahoro Esiel Community, located in Oriir Local Government Area of Oyo State. The abduction occurred on May 15, when heavily armed assailants invaded the area and took 46 individuals, including pupils and the principal of a secondary school.

This incident sparked nationwide outrage. Special Adviser to the President, Bola Tinubu, communicated the news through a post on Facebook by Bayo Onanuga, confirming the rescue operation carried out by security agencies.
