PDP NEC Meeting Focuses on Reforms and Membership Drive

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) convened a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, led by Nyesom Wike, to discuss significant internal reforms. Mao Ohuabunwa, the chairman of the board of trustees, supported the ongoing membership registration process, emphasizing its importance for building a credible and verifiable membership database.

This initiative aims to improve transparency, strengthen internal democracy, and boost confidence among party members across Nigeria. Ohuabunwa urged full participation in the registration exercise, stressing that its success relies on accurate data collection and coordinated decision-making within the party.

He also highlighted the necessity of unity among party stakeholders as they prepare for the upcoming national convention, indicating that decisions made today will influence the party's future direction. Ohuabunwa disclosed that the party's zoning committee would soon present recommendations to the NEC, advocating for equitable and just outcomes while acknowledging that no arrangement would perfectly satisfy everyone.
