Disruptive Passenger Dies on Kenya Airways Flight to Lagos

On October 6, a passenger aboard a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to Lagos died after exhibiting disruptive behavior during the flight. According to Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the passenger had previously been transported to Madagascar but was denied entry and returned on the same route.
During the flight, he grew increasingly agitated, attempting to force his way into the cockpit and later trying to open the aircraft's rear door while still in the air. Crew members restrained him by tying his hands behind his back.
Approximately 20 minutes before landing at Murtala Muhammed International Airport at 9:41 pm, the passenger became unresponsive. Cabin crew administered first aid as per emergency procedures, but he was confirmed dead upon landing.
The airline has not disclosed the passenger's identity, nationality, age, or cause of death. The NCAA is investigating the incident, and Kenya Airways has expressed condolences to the family while cooperating with local authorities.
