FRSC Arrests 'One Chance' Gang in Oyo, Recovers Phone

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrested members of a 'one chance' gang in Ibadan, Oyo State, recovering a stolen mobile phone. The incident occurred during a routine operation along the Babalegba-Eleyel-Ojoo corridor in the early hours of Monday.

The FRSC patrol team became suspicious of a motorcycle rider pursuing a Nissan Micra vehicle with registration number AJW 903XE, which had a female passenger who subsequently raised an alarm about her mobile phone being stolen inside the vehicle. The patrol team stopped the vehicle and commenced preliminary interrogation.

The driver, identified as Idowu Mukaila, allegedly facilitated the recovery of the stolen device. Following the incident, individuals arrived to claim the stolen device, raising further suspicion of organized criminal activity.

The matter was reported to the appropriate authorities, and the suspects were taken for further investigation. The FRSC emphasized the importance of vigilance among patrol operations and collaboration with security agencies.
