FRSC Arrests Suspected 'One Chance' Syndicate Member

On June 15, during a routine operation along the Babalegba-Eleyel-Ojoo corridor in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) intercepted a Nissan Micra vehicle after a female passenger raised an alarm about a stolen mobile phone. The vehicle, with registration number AJW 903XE, was pursued by a motorcyclist, which raised the suspicion of the FRSC patrol team.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that the driver, identified as Idowu Mukaila, allegedly facilitated the recovery of the stolen device. Following this incident, additional individuals arrived to produce the stolen device, further indicating organized criminal activity.

The FRSC reported the matter to the appropriate authorities for further investigation, and the suspect was taken for comprehensive investigation by the Nigeria Police Force, Eleyel Division. This incident underscores the critical role of FRSC patrol operations in enhancing road safety and supporting security efforts in collaboration with relevant law enforcement agencies.
