Ogun Police Arrest 'One-Chance' Gang Members in Robbery

On May 28, 2026, the Ogun State Police Command arrested two suspects, Odunuga Kehind and Olajid Rasak, following a distress report regarding a robbery incident involving two female victims. The victims were traveling in a Nissan Micra taxi painted in Ogun State colors when the suspects allegedly diverted the vehicle, forcibly ejecting the passengers and stealing an iPhone 12 Pro.

The police acted swiftly upon receiving the distress call at approximately 5:15 PM, mobilizing to the scene in the Obantoko division. The suspects were arrested, and the stolen phone was recovered.

During preliminary investigations, the suspects voluntarily confessed to the crime. Photographs of the suspects were taken for record purposes, and the recovered exhibit was released to the owner.

The police intervention also prevented potential mob action from agitated members of the public.
