FRSC Confirms 17 Passenger Deaths in Zamfara Accident

The Federal Roads Safety Commission (FRSC) in Zamfara State confirmed the tragic death of 17 passengers after a bus plunged off a collapsed bridge along Gwalli Road in Gummi local government area. The incident occurred due to overloading and the late hour of travel.

The FRSC Sector Commander expressed shock at the loss of mostly women passengers. The community had volunteered to clear the road, leading to the makeshift bridge collapse.

The FRSC urged motorists to adhere to regulations and avoid overloading to prevent such accidents in the future.
