12 killed, 5 injured in Kano road crash

A tragic road crash in Kano resulted in the death of 12 people and left 5 others injured. The incident involved a DAF Trailer CF95 model with registration number KMC 931 ZE, which was carrying passengers and goods along the highway.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Kano Sector Command reported that the accident was caused by a mechanical fault in the trailer. Out of the 19 people involved in the crash, 2 escaped unhurt, while the injured were taken to Kura General Hospital for treatment and the deceased to Nassarawa Hospital.

The Sector Commander, Bature, expressed regret over the loss of life, emphasizing the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and avoiding overloading. He warned that the FRSC would increase enforcement to prevent such incidents in the future.

Corps Marshal Dauda Ali Biu extended condolences to the bereaved families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
