Auto Crash Claims 12 In Kano

Twelve people were killed in a tragic auto crash in Samawa village, Kano State, on August 15. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, stating that a lone motor accident involving a DAF Trailer CF95 resulted in the deaths of 12 individuals, with five others sustaining injuries.

Two individuals were rescued unharmed. The FRSC spokesperson, Abdullahi Labaran, mentioned that a mechanical fault caused the trailer's cab hook to break, leading to the detachment of the body and loss of control.

The victims were taken to Nassarawa Hospital, while the injured were transported to Kura General Hospital for treatment. The Sector Commander, CC MB Bature, visited the scene to offer condolences to the bereaved families and emphasized the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to avoid such tragedies.
