Three Injured in Kaduna Tanker Fire Incident

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed that three adult males were injured in a tanker fire incident in the Kwangila area of Zaria, Kaduna State. The fire broke out when a fully loaded liquefied natural gas tanker, belonging to Greenville Company, caught fire due to a malfunctioning gas valve while parked roadside along the Funtua-Zaria road.

The fire affected a nearby shop, resulting in burn injuries to the three victims, who were promptly evacuated to Nakowa Hospital for initial treatment and later referred to Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) in Shika for further medical care. Mr.

Andrew Longkam, the sector commander, reported that emergency responders acted swiftly to control the fire, which briefly reignited but was completely extinguished. Traffic was temporarily diverted to prevent secondary accidents, and normal traffic flow was restored.

Longkam advised motorists to exercise caution when approaching the area and commended the prompt response of the emergency agencies involved.
