FRSC Arrests Over 100 for Mixed Loading in Kaduna

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has launched a crackdown on mixed loading practices in Kaduna State, resulting in the arrest of over 100 individuals. This enforcement operation, led by Sector Commander Tijani Iliyas, was initiated following directives from the Corps Marshal, Malam Shehu Moham.

The FRSC's public education officer, Mr. Osondu Ohaeri, reported that multiple articulated vehicles were intercepted for transporting passengers alongside animals and goods, a practice deemed unsafe and life-threatening.

The FRSC described mixed loading as a "ticking time bomb" that violates traffic regulations and exposes passengers to grave danger in the event of a crash. The operation is part of a nationwide effort to enhance road safety, particularly during the Easter special patrol period.

The Corps Marshal emphasized a zero-tolerance stance on traffic violations that endanger public safety and warned drivers to desist from such practices to avoid stiff sanctions, including arrest and prosecution.
