FRSC Launches 2026 Easter Patrol for Safe Travel

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has initiated its 2026 Easter special patrol, running from April 1 to April 8, to manage expected increases in vehicular and human movement during the Easter celebrations. The initiative, led by Corps Marshal Shehu Mohammed, aims to ensure safe and smooth travel across Nigeria.

The FRSC has identified critical routes for monitoring, including Lagos-Ibadan, Sagamu, Benin, Abuja, Lokoja, and several others. Personnel and logistics will be strategically positioned along these routes to improve traffic flow and ensure quick emergency responses.

The FRSC will intensify enforcement against traffic offenses linked to road crashes, such as speeding, reckless driving, and the use of mobile phones while driving. Mobile courts will be deployed along major routes for immediate trial of offenders to promote discipline among motorists.

Additionally, public awareness campaigns will be conducted through traffic radio platforms to provide real-time safety updates. The FRSC emphasizes the importance of adhering to traffic rules to protect lives and property on the roads.
