FRSC Launches Eid Al-Adha Patrols in Anambra State

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has initiated a patrol operation for Eid Al-Adha in Anambra State, scheduled from May 25 to May 31. This operation is part of the FRSC's annual festive season intervention aimed at reducing road traffic crashes and fatal injuries during the period of increased travel activity.

The exercise, led by Margaret B. Onab, will combine public sensitization, traffic enforcement, and rapid emergency response to ensure safer highways throughout the festive period.

The FRSC's state operations are designed to ease congestion, remove obstructions on major routes, and enforce compliance with traffic regulations. Key resources deployed include patrol vehicles, ambulances, tow trucks, motorcycles, radar guns, and breathalyzers.

Special attention will be given to high-traffic corridors, including the Bridge Head area in Onitsha. The FRSC has also coordinated with the Nigeria Police Force and the Anambra State Traffic Management Agency to strengthen traffic control and emergency response during the holiday.

Motorists and passengers are urged to comply with traffic regulations to avoid risky driving behaviors.
