NSCDC Deploys 851 Personnel for Eid-el-Kabir in Anambra

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has announced the deployment of 851 personnel throughout Anambra State in preparation for the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. Commandant Maku Olatund stated that this massive deployment aims to ensure a hitch-free Sallah celebration.

The personnel will be stationed at prayer venues, recreational centers, markets, major roads, and motor parks to provide comprehensive security coverage during the holiday period. The deployment includes tactical special units such as the Agro Ranger Squad, Arm Squad, Female Strike Force, Rapid Tactical Squad, Anti-Vandal Squad, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRNE) Unit, Counter Terror Unit, and Disaster Management Unit.

Commandant Olatund emphasized the importance of maintaining public order and safeguarding lives and property while deterring criminal activities. He urged the public to remain vigilant and comply with the law during and beyond the festive period, as the federal government has declared Wednesday and Thursday as public holidays for the celebration.
